人NC8
According to a recent report from AAPI Data, over 60% of Chinese Americans aged 18–34 say they struggle with balancing cultural expectations and identity formation. Yet, most digital spaces for Chinese communities are either advertisement rich, scattered, or lack of engagement. That’s why I created NC8. NC8 stands for New Chinese and Eight, a lucky number. The kanji 人 means a person.
This support is offered through three panels: Mind as Curated essays for critical thinking. Heart as Identity-focused stories to foster self-understanding. And hand as event listings, scholarships, creative opportunities that support skill-building and action.
NC8 Offline sends curated listings of talks, film screenings, and exhibitions—both are commission-based and member-led.
We provide online and offline activities. The NC8 cafe is an extention of the comunity. The NC8 Café is a subscription-based co-working and gathering space.
The human-curated podcast archive is organized through an interactive web of key figures and ideas. This helps users discover inspiring people and topics through nonlinear, intuitive exploration.
NC8 is for women who are intellectually driven, eager to grow, and motivated to reclaim their narrative.
